SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

REMINDERS OVER THE HOLIDAY:

Midterm Exam for both grades is Thursday January 8th. Students have received their study guides. Students also should have instructions to their chapter Projects that could be started over the break. I hope everyone has a great holiday season and I hope to see everyone back for a great new year.

Week of December 15-19

SEVENTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- Begin Chapter 5 Population and Culture

Tuesday- Complete Elements of Culture Lists for class tomorrow

Wednesday- Chapter Vocab should be completed for Monday

Thursday- Cultural Analysis Sheets are due tomorrow

Friday- DECEMBER CURRENT EVENT IS DUE MONDAY !!!

EIGHTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- Ancient Middle East History

Tuesday- Thursday- Middle East History in class Project. If not completed by Thursday it will be taken home and it is due Friday.

Friday- Research Day in library. DECEMBER CURRENT EVENT DUE MONDAY !!!

Week of December 8 - December 12

SEVENTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- Students will complete climate zones in their packets and begin Vegetation Zones.

Tuesday- Complete "World Climate and Vegetation Charts" if not completed in class.

Wednesday- Students receive study guides and bonus sheets for TEST.

Thursday- JEOPARDY REVIEW FOR CHAPTER TEST. STUDY !!!!!!!!!!

Friday- Chapter 4 TEST: EARTH's Water, Climate, and Vegetation.

EIGHTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- JEOPARDY REVIEW FOR CHAPTER TEST. STUDY !!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday- Chapter TEST: Russia and the Independent Republics.

Wednesday- Middle East Take Home Quiz is Due Tomorrow.

Thursday- Collect Take Home Quizzes. Complete Map Packets if not completed in class.

Friday- Discuss Middle East Map Packets. ***** Students will receive research project information. The project is not due until the end of the chapter.

Week of December 1- December 5

SEVENTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- No School

Tuesday- Review Latitude Zones for a Quiz. Study your notesheet.

Wednesday- Latitude Zone Quiz. Complete your El Nino handouts for class tomorrow.

Thursday- Students will begin their Climate and Vegetation Packets.

Friday- Current Event Quiz. Review notes and handouts.

EIGHTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY

Monday- No School

Tuesday- Review "Challenges of Russia"

Wednesday- Complete Independent Republics Packet if not completed in class for tomorrow.

Thursday- Complete Bonus Point sheets for test next week.

Friday- Students receive study guides. Review notes and handouts for Test next week.
