Week of October 31 - Nov 4

SEVENTH GRADE

Monday- Landform Projects Day 2. Students will be working on their diagrams of Landforms around
               the world. The students will need to complete the projects by Friday.
               STUDY STUDY STUDY for your landform quiz.

Tuesday- World Landform QUIZ

Wednesday- Pass Back Quizzes, Begin Weathering and Erosion Lesson

Thursday- Complete Weathering and Erosion Lesson. Students will be given a Take Home Quiz on Weathering and Erosion that is due tomorrow along with their landform packets if they have not been handed in already.

Friday- Weathering and Erosion Scavenger Hunt. BRING A COAT TO CLASS.

EIGHTH GRADE

Monday- European Union Activity. Students will read and discuss the impact of the EU.

Tuesday- Europe Review Sheets/ Bonus Sheets / Study Guide work. STUDY STUDY STUDY

Wednesday - Jeopardy Review Game. Study for EUROPE TEST tomorrow.

Thursday- Europe Chapter TEST

Friday- Pass Back Test and discuss. Current Event Quiz

TENTH GRADE

Monday- Government of the 20's Harding and Coolidge activity and Discussion.
              *** Reminder, Students should be working on their 20's advertising projects which
                     will be due next week. ***

Tuesday- 20's Personalities SHEET is due today. We will discuss the largest personalities and influential
                people of the 20's. Quiz on the on 20's personalities is FRIDAY.

Wednesday- Traditionalism vs. Modernism: Scopes Monkey Trial Lesson.

Thursday- Immigration, Racial Tension, and the rise of the KKK.
                Study for you 20's Personalities Quiz for tomorrow.

Week of October 24 - 28

****** CURRENT EVENT ARTICLES ARE DUE ON FRIDAY FOR OCTOBER *************

SEVENTH GRADE
Monday- Students will be working on Landfrom Packets. The students will need to define and identify various World landforms.

Tuesday- We will complete the landform packets and begin to discuss their examples. We will also review
                the Earth in Space (Lessons 1 and 2) For a quiz TOMORROW.

Wednesday- EARTH IN SPACE QUIZ

Thursday- We will be beginning our next IN CLASS PROJECT, which is a descriptive diagram project.
                 The students will be digramming actual world landforms from around the planet. The landform
                  project is in class and will be completed next week.

Friday- CURRENT EVENT DISCUSSION DAY : ARTICLES ARE DUE TODAY!!!!!!

EIGHTH GRADE

Monday- SOUTHERN EUROPE: Students will be working on a 3 Chart assignment for Southern Europe.
                The Charts should be completed for tomorrow

Tuesday- The chart assignments will be checked and discussed. Students will get back their capital quizzes.
             
Wednesday- We will be starting our next IN CLASS PROJECT. The project is a GEC Chart which stands for Geographic, Economic, and Cultural. The students need to find these respective characteristics throughout a listing of Eastern European Countries. The projects will be completed in class and handed in next week.

Thursday- GEC project work.

Friday- CURRENT EVENT SUMMARY DAY FOR OCTOBER: ARTICLES DUE TODAY!!!!

TENTH GRADE

Monday- WWI TEST

Tuesday- Pass back and discuss Tests/ INTRO TO CHAPTER 6: ROARING 20's

Wednesday- Lesson 1: 20's Booming Economy/ HENRY FORD and the Model T

Thursday- HOOVER and COOLIDGE A Contrast in Styles. Students will be conducting and independent
                research assignment regarding the presidencies of Hoover and Coolidge

Friday- Presidents QUIZ 21 -30

Monday- We will discuss the Chapter 2 Tests
             - Intro to Chapter 3: The Physical Earth
             - Students will get their chapter Vocab list and complete a diagram activity

Tuesday- Lesson 1: The Earth In Space
            - Earth's movements video presentation

Wednesday- Lesson 2: Earth's Movements (Rotation and Revolution)

Thursday- Earth's Movements Diagram Project

Friday- 1st MARKING PERIOD PORTFOLIOS ARE DUE
          - Current Event Quiz

EIGHTH GRADE

Monday- Complete Lesson 5: The Benelux Countries
             - Students will complete a handout on Scandinavia which is due tomorrow

Tuesday- Discuss Scandinavia Review the European Capital cities

Wednesday- We will be trying to experience some European culture by playing the Ancient Viking Game
                     called KUBB. Class is down the wrestling room today.

Thursday- EUROPEAN CAPITAL CITY BINGO REVIEW GAME. STUDY CAPITALS

TENTH GRADE

Monday- We will complete and review the U.S. In war Lesson. Students will begin to work on the PEACE PROCESS handout. The Handouts are due tomorrow. STUDY your Presidents 11-20 for a quiz tomorrow.

SEVENTH GRADE
Monday- Lesson 2: Tools and Uses of Geography

Tuesday- Lesson 3: People who Study the Earth. Students will get a Reading Portfolio Assignment.

Wednesday- Interactive I-Pad Adventure. Students will be working with the I-Pads and working on
                    archaeology simulations on the computer.

Thursday- Bonus Sheets, and Chapter Review. Study your notes for a Chapter Test Tomorrow.

Friday- Chapter 2 Test

EIGHTH GRADE

Monday- Lesson 4: German Geography. Begin to Study your Physical Maps

Tuesday- Lesson 5: French Geography. Study NW Europe for a small quiz.

Wednesday- NW Euope Quiz

Thursday- Lesson 6: Benelux Countries of Europe. STUDY YOUR PHYSICAL MAPS

Friday- European Physical Map Quiz

TENTH GRADE

Monday- Students will be working on a small group project on the American Homefront during WWI. THe students will be answering questions on a given topic and finding pictures. The information will be presented on Tuesday.

Tuesday- WWI homefront presentations.

Wednesday- America Enters The Fight: Lesson 4. STUDY WWI maps for QUIZ tomorrow.

Thursday- WWI map quiz. We will begin Lesson 5 Peace Process after the quiz.

Friday- Complete Lesson 5. Current Event Quiz
