Monday- Thursday: Students will be working on an IN CLASS project entitled Cultural
Comparison Project. The students will be working on the project and
writing assignments throughout the week. All of the work should be
completed in class.

Friday- September Current Event Articles are due !!!!

Monday- WRITING PROMPTS ARE DUE
Using A Grid System Lesson ( Students will receive Practice Sheets)

Tuesday- Lesson 3: Maps vs. Globes
Grid System Practice #2. Keep practicing your map skills.

Wednesday- Lesson 4: The Five Parts of a map. Students will also receive their next portfolio
assignment which deals with compass and scale.

Thursday- FINAL GRID SYSTEM REVIEW. Study your map skills

Friday- Grid System Quiz. Current Event Quiz and discussion

SEVENTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY
Monday - No School: LABOR DAY

Tuesday- Complete Five Themes assignment. Students will begin their first in Class Writing
assignment.

Wednesday- Students will work on their rough drafts and outlines for their first writing
assignments on the five themes of geography.

Thursday - Lesson 3: Hemishpheres and Grid Lines. STUDY FOR FIVE THEMES QUIZ!!

Friday- 5 Themes of Geography QUIZ. Students will also work to complete writing assignments
which are due MONDAY.

EIGHTH GRADE GEOGRAPHY
Monday- No School Labor Day

Tuesday- Discuss World Map Quiz. Students will begin 5 Theme Analysis Form Projects in
Class.

Wednesday- Lesson 3: Hempsheres and Grid Lines. Work to complete five theme forms.

Thursday- Lesson 4 Map Tool Application. STUDY FOR FIVE THEMES QUIZ !!!!
